Pure Fit Nutrition Bars Review + Newest Giveaway Listings

Add me to the list of lucky bloggers who received a sample of PureFit Nutrition Bars to test out and review!

Each of  the 5 flavours they sent me have roughly the same nutritional info (you can see the info sheet they sent me at the bottom of this review), so I like that it's consistent. These bars are fairly low in calories too - just marginally higher than lowest calorie content ones I've had - and they tasted considerably better. You can see from the nutritional info that they have a good nutritional mix for after a workout, so I'm going to focus my review on taste, in the order that I liked them of course!

As a side note, one thing I like about protein bars is that they're portable, which is important for me since I do many of my workouts at the gym.

On to the taste test!

  1. Chocolate Brownie.

LOVED this one.  If I end up buying these myself, Chocolate Brownie is the flavour I will buy.  The texture was almost like an EatMore bar, so the chocolate flavour just worked.  Plus I love all things chocolatey.

  2. Almond Crunch

    and

  3. Peanut Butter Crunch

I'm grouping those two together because I couldn't really differentiate between the two. They tasted like I expected they would - like peanut butter and like almond butter.  Again the texture worked well with these flavours, so they were a close second favourite.

  4. Granola Crunch

I was glad that this was NOT like a granola bar. I like granola bars, but immediately after a workout it's not what I'm looking for. This was soft and chewy like the other bars, but had a nice bit of crunch to it.  The reason it's number 4 on my list is that it's flavour wasn't as intense as the previous ones.  It wasn't bland or anything, just in comparison to the other bars it didn't stick with me.

  5. Berry Almond Crunch

This is the only bar that I didn't love.  I think the main issue is that I LOVE fruit in it's purest form, and not really in anything else.  Except smoothies.

I also like that these bars are vegan, even though I'm not. And for some added social responsibility points, the packaging has a little message on it saying to adopt your next pet!

Overall I was really impressed with the bars. I've tried a lot of other ones that were less chewy and more cake like, so these were a welcome alternative.

PureFit also provided a coupon code, so you can buy some of your own at http://www.purefit.com/ at a 25% discount, just enter PROMO25 in the coupon section of the shopping cart!
